Alright, I’m convinced. Moving has to be the most annoying thing in the world. Like, endlessly annoying. I can’t stand it. Ugh. I sound like a whiney brat… Let me start over.

My mister just bought us a house. Something that I was not expecting to happen for another couple of years. But one weekend it just sort of…happened. It is a very strange and fortunate feeling to know that something is ‘yours’ and you have the freedom to do whatever you want with it. Like having a blank canvas. Aside from getting my drivers license, becoming ‘legal’ to drink, and getting my first credit card, this is a different kind of freedom. I am so excited to transform this place.

Outside of unpacking the last two years of my life in boxes, I have practically devoted the rest of my time to finding home inspiration. I’ve been spending way too many hours in Home Depot, searching Pinterest, and obsessing over Anthropologie home goods. So many projects that I want to take on but I have absolutely no idea where to start. I am wonderfully overwhelmed with the possibilities of this house. Until I sort my thoughts, I have decided that I want a relaxed, open, colorful, bohemian sort of vibe. I want vibrant colors and clean walls and lots of succulents. I want big windows and beautiful tile and vintage furniture and souvenirs from my travels. I want to shock my boyfriend with the transformation.

I want to make this place “us”.
